The Fund feels enormous gratitude to Werner Glas who was its president for many years and developed the forms and spirit of generosity that lives in the current work of the Fund. The current directors of the fund are individuals who know the scope of the work in Waldorf education on this continent and have the ability to direct funds to the places where they are most needed at the time. With the extraordinary growth of the numbers and sizes of schools, there continues to be a need for greater support.
Many of the schools that began in the 1970’s and 1980's are now doing major building renovations or new construction, and beginning high schools. There are also a growing number of individuals who are deeply committed to the healthy development of the schools who would wish to support Waldorf education’s greatest needs. Waldorf Schools Fund is an excellent organization to receive contributions from those who would like to join their gifts with those of others in order to direct support to the most worthy projects within the movement. The needs of Waldorf education have dramatically changed from those early days in which the original group came together to assemble care packages, but, there still are major needs, and there is a group carrying this consciousness. The Board would like to invite others to participate in supporting the greatest needs within the Waldorf movement.
All contributions are full tax-deductible. Please contact Dave Alsop via the Contact Us page for further information.
